On the other hand, the anti-tragus ear piercing is the puncturing of the ear’s inner cartilage. This is located at the opposite of the tragus which is at the other side of the ear canal. The whole process of completing the anti-tragus ear piercing is basically similar to the method mentioned above.

Since the tragus as well as the anti-tragus ear piercings were done at the cartilage of the ear, both ear punctures heal and must be maintained in the same way as well. It is essential that you take and give the piercings a time to heal. More often than not, it takes at least six months and up to twelve months before the tragus ear piercing and the anti-tragus ear piercing would completely heal. While you wait for the puncture to heal, you must always remember to gently clean the area on a daily basis. You do not have to buy for a special solution that would allow you to heal the piercings faster. All you need to do is to clean it with sea salt water so that it would dry immediately. There are also cheap saline solutions that you can use in order to heal the tragus or the anti-tragus piercing. As long as the area has not yet fully recovered from the trauma that it had from the piercing process, you must understand that the earring should not be replaced yet. Just be patient and let the plain ear jewellery accessorize the piercing temporarily. There are times that impatient ear piercing fanatics change the earring too soon that it resulted to complicated conditions such as swelling, inflammation, and others.
